ZelWord is a local-first AI-powered word processor developed by Rocheston. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.

ZelWord does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers. All documents created, edited, and saved within ZelWord remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share them.

We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information. We do not collect document contents or writing data. We do not collect usage analytics or behavioral tracking data. We do not collect device identifiers or advertising identifiers. We do not collect location data, health or fitness data, financial or payment information, or contacts, photos, or media from your device.

AI assistance within ZelWord is powered by AINA, which uses the OpenAI API to process requests. When you use AI features, the text you submit as a prompt is sent to OpenAI's servers to generate a response. OpenAI may process this data in accordance with their own privacy policy, which can be reviewed at https://openai.com/privacy. We do not store, log, or retain any prompts or AI-generated responses on Rocheston servers. You should avoid submitting sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information through AI features.

ZelWord supports ZelEn encryption for local document protection. Encrypted documents are stored only on your device. Encryption keys are never transmitted to Rocheston or any third party.

The document security scanner analyzes your files locally on your device for sensitive content such as personal identifiers, credentials, and financial data. This analysis does not send document contents to any server.

Apart from the OpenAI API used for AI features, ZelWord does not integrate third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs. No data is shared with or sold to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

ZelWord is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.

Because ZelWord does not collect personal data directly, there is no data retained on our servers. All user data remains on the user's local device. You retain full ownership and control of all documents and content created in ZelWord.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of ZelWord after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
