PII handling Monitoring and Detection
RCCE students will learn personally identifiable information handling procedures including PII identification and classification, access controls for PII, PII processing safeguards, cross-border transfer requirements, and PII breach response. RCCE students will learn to identify and classify PII across organizational systems, implement technical and administrative controls for PII protection, configure data access controls and monitoring for PII repositories, establish secure PII processing procedures, comply with cross-border data transfer regulations, detect and respond to PII exposure incidents, and train organizational staff on proper PII handling procedures. This monitoring course teaches comprehensive detection and observability strategies for proactive security operations. At an expert level, RCCE students will learn to instrument systems for security telemetry, build detection pipelines, configure alerting, and maintain monitoring coverage as environments evolve. Students gain the visibility and detection capabilities needed to catch threats early.
