Introduction to Information Security Management
RCCE students will learn how to build, run, and mature an information security program as a business function. RCCE students will learn to develop security governance structures, define roles and responsibilities across security teams, create security policies and standards, establish risk management frameworks, and measure program effectiveness through key performance indicators. The course covers security program lifecycle management, board-level reporting, aligning security investments with business risk appetite, managing security budgets, building relationships with business stakeholders, and implementing frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and COBIT. This comprehensive course delivers practical knowledge applicable to real-world cybersecurity operations. Starting from foundational concepts, RCCE students will learn through a combination of concept explanation, practical demonstration, and hands-on exercises. Students develop skills that prepare them for the challenges of modern cybersecurity roles.
